Another terrifying incident of 14th September about gangrape of 19 years old girl of Hathras UP which is another heart throbbing incident in series after Nirbhaya and Priyanka Reddy which were reported in media. Its not just mere 2-3 figures countable in hands. According to National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) 2018 report. 91 rape cases are reported daily. Ask yourself, Is it just 91 or more than that which is not reported.Reasons could be many and we all know about that be it social obligations , gender stereotyping ,lack of support and empathy and most important lack of emotional intelligence in minds of family members,society and government authorities.
Every incident coming in front of us is not mere news report or part of 5-10 days media trial showing blaming each other. Infact it’s a warning to each and every girl sitting in a home watching this news to evolve herself .Also it’s a warning to her family members and society to come out of social obligations and patriarchal beliefs to save one gender getting vulnerable.
This revolution demands action to be taken from multi dimension and needs to work on descriptive (to know what has happened) , diagnostic (why it has happened) , predictive (what has its future impacts) and prescriptive (what has to be done to circumvent this situation) aspects of this incidents.Through this discussion we would come through all the above aspects.
Descriptive : It means what has been happening from past and is definition of rape confined to any kind of penetration whether be object or bodypart without consent given by ministry of public affairs and its changed .Is it just restricted to physical violence or it has boundaries with no limits.Are these are not called as rapes which are done in name of marriages which has no fringes, done in offices in terms of mental harassment just to ask place to sit in big tables, done in roads just to live and walk with independence.
Why does the women who want to cherish the goal to work her life on her own terms when lead to vulnerable state who is going to justify it.
Why she is being judged at every step she walks.
Who are those self acclaimed Godfather’s given the right to pass judgements surrounded everywhere and given right to say or do anything whether be in marriages, offices ,politics or societal even online domain predominantly more fatal addon.
How does our pride of society becomes prejudice in eyes of some people when asking for position in any space and she is being harassed everywhere .This is the reason why women world corporate senior leadership is just 6%.The situation is even getting worst in this COVID times reported in MC kinsey report when surveyed US 3000 samples potraying that women are leaving their work areas because of dual responsibilities overload and working overtime from their homes. The situation of Indian society is even worst when we had not seen any strong leadership after 1984 in form of Indira Gandhi in India history who has taken history changing steps in form of privy purse eradication, making of Baluchistan etc.Now Indian women mostly confined to either just restricted to fight for independence in terms of caste just like @Manisha Valmiki, talking more getting education and most to most getting entry level jobs of mid level promotions.But whats more? Does the journey to leadership ends here or its more to achieve.
Diagnostic : Its just knowing enough about what is happening all around. Are we capable enough to know the root cause of it.Are we doing anything to know who are actually culprits grabbing rights of her and why they are doing it and who gave them rights to do this.
Is the gender education just confined to our books lessons.Does the values adherence responsibility confined to one’s gender.Why its not being shared between both parts of society.Or it can be reason that victim is also another culprit who just cant think above her ownself needs and has ignorance about concept of Comradeship.
What is comradeship which is main subjectline of today’s discussion which will play effective role in defining predictive and prescriptive aspect of this whole situation.
Comradeship is basically a step towards or parallel aspect in moving towards or being in leadership.
Does women leadership be any count doing anything to increase confidence and cultivating sense of fearless working.
Its also being seen that women in senior positions might be in family or professional domains are not playing their roles hard enough to uplift the women below their roles.
Why they cant really understand that its not the era now that any Ram or Krishna would come to help our Sita and Draupadi to excape them from any Ravans and Duryodhans.We have to come out of this thought of being in victim side everytime and to be comrade of each other whatever be the condition or domain to fetch the best in us.
There comes prescriptive phase where we want more and more Jhansi, Indira and many more examples to emerge out through simple steps.
There must be more empathetic women in our homes and professional domains who just not live and cherish their leardership goals simultaneously acting as comrades to uplift another women so they could also cherish their lives with full happiness and sense of glory rather guilty.
There must be societies built in every domains of society not so called non government organisations who are just engaged in media trials but implementing it in ground level too to work on various problems suffered by women.Early watch type organizations and laws to be implemented judicially so that these incidents wont happen again and again and make take bigger form in terms of social pandemic and no vaccine could help it to spread and take wider and scary form.
